March was a busy month for the team at Model Act Studios, and April seems to be no different! Let's catch up with M.A.S.!
The first day of March Ms. Becca's Level 1 group had their Final Showcase! This was the last showcase we performed in the old Schaumburg Studio! They filmed the entire performance including slate, commercial, monologue, and runway!
As you know we have officially moved! Robert found a beautiful new space in Wheaton! Our new studio is located in Wheaton's quaint downtown area. Tucked beside a community of other small businesses, with the Wheaton Grand Theatre right behind us, we already feel right at home. We have a spacious, and light filled front waiting room, (Coffee station coming soon!) In the lower level we have two multi-purpose studios with backdrops and lighting for self tapes, fully stocked makeup counter, and a broad table with comfortable chairs for script readings.
We spent many, many hours packing and unpacking, organizing, and decorating. All of our hard work paid off on March 20th; when we opened the doors to our Talent for the first time at the M.A.S. audition for Momentum LA, a prestigious talent and literary agency in Los Angeles.
Model Act Studios also welcomed a new addition to the team! So the next time you are in Wheaton say hello to Ms. Carol at the front desk! Ms. Carol Leigh has been a 25-year resident and respected business owner in the communities of Wheaton, Warrenville, and Naperville. Her first love are the Arts! She attended the Boston Conservatory of Musicas a Musical Theater Major, and she studied and performed for eight years in NYC in Off Broadway Productions, Regional Theater, Soap Operas, and Commercials. Perhaps you may have seen her on “As The World Turns” as Gloria. Carol Leigh is a member of the SAG, AFTRA, AEA, NSAI “Nashville Songwriters Association International” and ASCP “Associated Skin Care Professionals.”
